Queenstown Flood - The Aftermath

QUEENSTOWN, NEW ZEALAND - We've finally arrived in Queenstown and the damage from the flood is pretty incredible. The town is quite a bit like Banff, except incredibly overdeveloped. You can really see the difference the restriction on building makes in Banff. Nonetheless, the snow-capped peaks are beautiful and so is the big lake the town is perched upon (the one that flooded the downtown district). We're great! Tomorrow we're going to Fiordland National Park to do some hiking for 3 or 4 days. It's often called the most beautiful part of NZ.
